goddamn it all to hell a few more hours to go and I'll be sweltering on a dusty playground pretending to be a robot or a firefighter or Darth Vader or an ice cream truck driver whatever roles the kids dream up I've been up all night switching sides in bed roaming around looking for Neosporin and a Band-Aid finding the love note and "Dirty Dancing" video and Rolos my husband left for me on the table now he tells me the electric bill is through the roof I tell him that's why I turned off the AC and opened the window I'm freezing my ass off now sitting underneath the vent thinking thoughts I can't put away I'm messy as hell and just wanted to let you know that I am awestruck and don't know why that mutated into righteous anger. |
