Her Hospital Bed

She stepped into the morning sunlight
After ditching her hospital gown
Flagged him down
Telling him she needed to go home
He had a kind face
With white beard like Santa
Drove her straight to the house
Then kindly waited
While she unlocked the door
Making fully sure
She was safely tucked inside
He quietly left
Being a proper gentleman
Never knowing nor understanding
That she had just escaped
