Whatever love I have for you is so rational that I want there to be a car chase or a wacky misunderstanding or something like where you turn out to be my long lost cousin because the fact that everything is going so gosh-darned flippin' expletive-deleted perfectly just drives me crazy. We seem dictated by the sitcom gods. And yet there is a passion in the way you grab my arm or the way you wave good-bye to me as you drift away that makes me want to wait around to see what's there. |
