I keep all our memories tucked inside me.
But the one that I hold so precious and so close

I was ever so warm and safe.

I blossomed.
As I was nuzzled under your warm shoulder,

This was an unforgettable moment in time.
My eyes wide open...the sun shining through the drapes.
The beautiful hews that cast around us.
My head lay against your warm chest.
Your chest rising and falling with each breathe,
And your heart beating in rhythm with mine.
For a moment I was complete.
But in another instant...I knew this was the last time.
I closed my eyes,
And
Oh, how I hoped and prayed that I was wrong.
Tears rolled down my cheeks and dropped upon your chest.
In that very instant...I sighed and vowed that I would remember
