What makes you tick? What makes you happy, what makes you blue? How do you tell someone that you love them Is your love always true? These questions, I thought I knew their answers These riddles, I thought could be solved by me But you have hidden yourself from my gaze You have taken your hand from mine, and put your heart in ice You have decided that you would be better off without me For no apparent reason, other than a distance that could be travelled in less than a day If we were in the same surroundings, no doubts would be sounded If we were together right now, our hearts would be linked forever When did I stop making you happy? When did you stop worrying about how I felt? When did it not bother you to crush my heart with one step To see the pain in my eyes, and just look in the other direction It seems so easy to hurt me To dismiss the fact that my pain is endless to shut out your heart's pleas this isn't strength, its stupid, useless, weak Be true to what you heart song wants to play Follow your dreams, knowing that I was once in them For only a short time, we are to be a part I pray that that will be the case So what makes you happy, for I will do it You aren't happy anymore, despite what you may say I can read it in your eyes, in your heart Don't hide from me, it only makes our situation more painful, worse. |
