Beaten-the word evokes shivers down my spine how can you say that how could your family do that to you you don't beat a child for bad grades How come you find it so easy to admit to being beaten beaten doesn't just mean physically but emotionally as well you aren't beaten get up i won't let you give up Stand up I won't let you fall Tell me that together nothing can stop us that you aren't going to be beaten anymore your childhood was horrible but live adulthood to its fullest Take a step away and realize that what happened to you was wrong was painful but its the past you are no longer a victim you are a person strong, agile, and determined don't ever forget that did you mean it when you told me that you thought you deserved it you didn't I know that I just want to hold you for a million years and never let go sometimes I feel as if the world has beaten me that i can't win but then I feel my heart pounding and i hold my head up and forge ahead you can only be beaten if you accept it you can only lose when you decide that winning isn't everything let me be your outlet let me be your friend, your lover, your forever I won't let you lose I won't let you cry and I won't let you falter but most of all, with me, you'll never be beaten again |
