I feel the beat the rhythm paces within my soul yearning to reach the sunlight aching to come out My body is free My mind is agile and my heart is hopeful as i dance to the rhythm that pounds through my head I feel the beat it surges through my veins it runs through my blood it harbors no doubts why should i doubt my worth why should i question my ability the beat controlls me urges me to strut my stuff There's no one watching me the world is silent, unobservant, nonchalant my body follows the beat my heart follows the rhythm all the pain escapes through my feet all my racing thoughts escape as i concentrate on the music my body is beautiful my mind is clear the beat erases all pain, all thought there's nothing better in the world for once in my life i am truly free |
