Invitations of other events to this church, I declined I had no honor, only shame was mine I recovered from disease, I am whole again Learned life's lessons, my spirit mends. I will witness the baptism of my friend's child It will be of written record and kept on file To watch the glory on his parents face Will be another time for redeeming grace. You left me lifeless, threw me aside No helpful words when my spirit died You had nothing to say to little ole me I am the last person you thought you would see. Less than a week, just a matter of days I will be of grace, but be in your way Hold my head high, but live with regret Seeing you squirm, watching you fret. Everyone has consequences to pay I've completed my share, many a day I don't wish harm or ill will, this is true But I have no pity for what is coming to you. |
