Somedays you are my hero Most week days you are my friend, We share much in common But are so separate within. But today was a different story, I didn't let on or admit. When you referred a couple should stay together, For so much "history" has been spent. Knowing if we debated this matter, It wouldn't accomplish my goal. So now I sit and ponder, Reflect within my soul. My friend you are older and wiser, Your advice is of much worth. Giving careful consideration to this idea Can benefit me, certainly won't hurt. Is "history" a valid reason, To stay unhappily married? A loveless marriage, no personal growth, Conscious or unconscious motives seem tarried. Is "history" significant grounds, To accept emotional abuse or conflict? Or is it justification to remain, For denial is a simpler verdict. |
