I ran by my favorite liquor store that has the great prices on bottles of wine...I picked out Vouvray and a Chianti knowing full well that I will have no one to share them with... I remember the night I drank Vouvray for the first time and by the way, the only time I drank Vouvray...Not only did I think this white wine was superb, my partner enjoyed it's flavor, too....Not only were we happy to find one that we both liked, but we agreed to find another bottle--to share it together again on a special occasion... remembering those days had to be the worst and most spectacular days of my life...Every day was a whirlwind, thunderstorm, daybreak, roller coaster, firework display & a holiday all rolled up in one...Not knowing that when something too good to be true is exactly THAT... After that night we began searching for Vouvray in every liquor store in town and ended up being "our quest", but couldn't find it locally...the owner of that favorite liquor store said that they only carried it during the thanksgiving/Christmas season...Our attempts to find this fine wine in Dallas and Memphis fell short, too, so we decided that we would purchase Vouvray during the holidays in our home town...I had no clue that destiny would bring us a different course and that our relationship would end so badly... Anyway, while shopping on a hot and humid day in July my eyes fell upon a bottle of Vouvray...enuff said... |
