You can't go by sun signs alone...there are so many layers to astrology. Synastry takes into account each planet and its placement. When I first discovered my moon is in Virgo, I could not believe it. I was convinced my moon was in Leo because I've always been the show-off/attention whore of my family. I've always been into theater arts and I've been falling in love since I was about four years old. Well, not too long ago I found out that I have Mars and Jupiter in the fifth house, which is ruled by Leo. I could go on and on. I'm endlessly amazed. My sun sign is Aquarius and my husband's sun sign is Libra. We met at the Blender of Love back in 2000. We admired each other's poetry. We are very well-suited on an intellectual level but we have been to hell and back these past three years. We still have heated arguments and there have been times when we have wanted to just end the marriage. I think the main source of conflict is that we come from radically different backgrounds. My husband is from New York and his parents are still together. I'm from Texas and my family is very dysfunctional. Plus, it doesn't help that my Pluto is conjunct his sun and his Mars squares my Mars. Any squares in synastry spell out intense sexual tension, which usually leads to a battle of the wills and heated arguments/passionate lovemaking. Also...my natal chart is pretty complex whereas my husband's is simple. He's almost a pure Libra, which is rare. |
