this 4th of July and you know by the way that to me the 4th of July is the holiest and most cherished of all holidays not because of what it represents no I don't care about all of that because I am no Betsy Ross waving a flag like it's my country to celebrate I'm just all about fireworks and false drunken patriotism by the lake I love sparks and idiotic applause and booms and crowds of good-natured morons sitting in pickup trucks and lawn chairs so this 4th of July I will cry to the lit up sky I AM DIVORCED, HALLELUJAH AND ALMOST ENGAGED TO A MAN WHO LOVES ME CRAZY and people might stare but I won't care waving M's with a sparkler into the air |
