O scarf- Where have you gone? It has been so cold without you That I very well may turn blue. Have you run away? Or simply been misplaced? I am searching everywhere But I cannot seem to find you. Perhaps I tied you too tightly Around my neck the last time I wore you. I promise it only meant I Wanted you closer. Perhaps you feel like you've been Replaced By my new turtleneck sweater. But it cannot wrap itself around me Like you can. (And I swear it's not nearly as comfy. Or warm.) Perhaps I hung you up And you fell to the floor When I walked away. I cannot help it if my cat wants To snuggle with you too. O Scarf- I wish you would let me find you soon I do not want to forget what you look like And I hope you still feel the same When I finally figure out Where I left you last time. (I won't ever let go again.) |
