last night our roommate feigned dismay when you told her you've never heard of Ayn Rand she has a couple of degrees and she's been to Rome and she has Henry Miller in her library and she hates Bush but she also drinks light beer and is dating a man who drives a BMW and lives on the opposite side of the house he shares with his wife and three kids and her electronic music really gripes my ass and her last boyfriend was scum and looked like a weasel and she asked me what I was doing with her block of generic cheddar cheese and she put corn in the green bean casserole and burned the onions on top and didn't give us our change at the comedy club last night so her literacy and worldliness doesn't mean shit to me she won't sing karaoke with us because karaoke isn't cool she talks negative bullshit and plays Mommy to our lost inner brats so my darling let's play dumb and stop taking shit from those who feel superior and much too important like the comic who chewed out the bimbo talking on her cell phone during his act we our the champions the blue-collar down-to-earth no tolerance for pretense champions of the free world. |
