Forever Fire

In winter I'm wired wrong
My nerves short
A princess and the pea
Skin so thin it
Blanches to anything
That sings the song wrong
The water is hard
The air cold outside
With inside heat dry as a bone
The lack of sun
And darkness therein
Would leave a lonely me
If not for this blast of love
A heat wave connected
Lip to lip
Thigh to thigh
On dark chocolate covered cherries
And Technicolor heart blips
This passion in winter
Does back-flips
Balancing a healthy desire
Lifting its arms high up to the sky
Singing whispering chanting Baby
Baby you are forever fire
