We don't put tinsel on the tree because it's a bitch to get off in january. We don't like egg nog, and sugar plums sound pretty gay (and what IS egg nog, anyway?). Still, it's that time of year - custom-made to burn regrets like logs on the fire, and hope springs eternal like our love that is evergreen (always in season). We don't need no reasons to tear through the paper and the ribbons, get our holiday groove on by the twinkle of the Christmas tree and snuggle afterwards, my gringo taste buds still reeling from the taste of you - sweet like chocolate, spicy like green chile stew. |
