When?

When does it stop hurting? Tell me, when?

Have the scientists, who have figured out how to cleanly split an atom, found a way to cleanly split up a relationship?

Have the poets, with their skeins of words, penned their way into healing the human soul?

Perhaps the philosophers, with their thoughts as vast and deep as the ocean, have pondered and procured this one answer?

Or maybe the doctors, who can make a heart beat again, have discovered the way to make it stop breaking every time it is reminded of what made it break in the first place?

None of them, with all of their pretensions and pride and technology, can conquer this one. Love is said to transcend death, time, distance, cultures, and a whole lot of other difficult situations, issues, and backgrounds... but what I seem to be realizing is that it also transcends anything that might have given us the ability to forget about it entirely.
