A Popcorn Matinee

The wise ole owl sits on my desk
In wide eyed wonder he stares at me
Then greedily gobbles all my change
We have an arrangement he and I
As long as I keep feeding him
He promises not to tell
What happens to the slush fund
Or where I can be found
On any rambunctious Sunday afternoon
There are only two places I want to be
Darlin one is in your arms
And the other is slaving away
Sitting hand in hand
And sneaking sweet kisses
Feeding our faces and watching the stars
At a popcorn movie matinee
