“There will come a point in your life when you’ll get tired of chasing everyone, trying to fix everything … it’s not giving up, it’s just a realization that you don’t need all those you went after, because what you need are those who stood by you even if you never needed them.” I got this text message mid this month …. From a number I do not recognize. This one struck me because it was exactly how I have been feeling after all that I went through . I texted back and thanked the sender, and politely asked for the identity. I didn’t get any answer. The sender probably had reasons in sending the message across, in that fashion, and had all the reasons, too in deciding to simply put it that way. I will not question the intentions, I gave him/her the respect. And wished him/her peace. “If there was learning from more than two years of truths and lies, bickerings, pain, bitterness, and that one leaving … hard as it was … it was God’s grand plan … that I must separate the pebbles from the diamonds. And I did.” |
