Safety Net

The man I felt safest with
Was left handed
Slightly dyslexic
Like me
Go figure
Opposites indeed
Yet somehow he
Was my stainless steel
Radial aligned back bone
Only I had no clue
Until he left this planet
And though my spinal chord
Has never been jelly
I keep my eyes open wide
In search of that safety net
Just in case I feel the need
To free fall
I’d almost give my left boob
A lot of kisses
And a fried baloney sandwich
For that unafraid brave resiliency
Or maybe I just need an AK47 and ADT
