First off, thanks to everyone who accepted my acrostic challenge! (And thanks to ~*Truelies*~ for knowing what they're called!) It was great fun reading them; I hope they were as fun to write. Wild~flower, Ali, ~*Truelies*~, B.K.: thanks for playing with me! (beats playing with myself ;-p)
Teej: Yes, some powerful emotions were flowin' last night when I wrote "Betrayed". It's amazing what hormones and sleep-deprivation can do! Also, yes, you are very perceptive: "The Waiting Game" was written about the same guy. Actually, so were "Worth the Wait", "My Heart Sings", "Mine!", "Something Tells Me", and "Holding Air". But truth be told, the betrayal I felt was mostly self-anger because he's away on vacation, I'm obsessing, and I suspect he may be running scared from me: too much, too soon. We'll see.
~Harem~: Thanks for the kind words about "Betrayed". Whenever I write from a 'real' spot, the words just pour out. This one was a 10 minute spew. And yet, you're right, it *almost* rhymes. [insert Twilight Zone music here]. Your comment about the message resounding like a bell was very insightful; I hadn't even noticed myself that the word 'betrayed' was tolling like a death-knell. Your own prolificness is a constant amazement!
greyskies; 'whirlwind,' was one of the best love poems that you have written yet. Wow, I love that one!
GUPPY; So glad to see you back here, have missed you a bunch! And on Friday the 13th too..ha. 13 has always been my lucky number. 'les trebuchet' is just marvelous.
