Stephen, I hate to be the one to burst your bubble. Hopefully you realize this before you even read this. The poem that Lacey sent to you titled "..." is not an original work. Those are song lyrics. The artisi is Selena and the song is Dreaming of You. I hope that this isn't an upsetting fact for you.

Zots! Smiling Kat, I really like your stuff, especially waiting and waiting 2. They really strike home. As to being a gentleman, well, I am what I am. It is not the most popular thing in my town however. It seems as though we are a dieing breed, but it is a noble quest and true!

violet, enjoyed your new submission <a href="/blend/wv.cgi?id=2001.07.21.12.33.22103">stars and fire</a>. Especially the visuals in the lines: <BR>
<BR>
“candy-apple-green eyes <BR>
sparkle with fire”  <BR>
<BR>
and <BR>
<BR>
“heat and passion<BR>
will be offered up to the stars<BR>
pulsing with life, there is love.”<BR>

jesseandrews--Hey I'm fine with that, the writing did seem corny, and not original, again, like I said, I am more concerned with that just she sent it to me.. not who it was by... I know she isn't a one for poetry, she sings beautifully though, and does other artist's work. Thanks for the concern... but it wasn't necessary.

I have been reading here for about 7 months now. I find this to be an incredible site, rich in examples of the human mind -in, and out, of love. Of the many poets here, a few stand out like red on black: TJ Holland, Untamed Bird, h., Neon Screams, and greysky. <BR>
<BR>
In particular I would comment on TJ Holland's work. As I read, (if I do so slowly, concentrating on the precise wording) I begin to feel my emotions change to whatever I feel she/he is feeling as she/he writes. I didn't react this way at first, but as I really payed attention to the poems of this author, I saw how incredibly intelligent she/he is. And I began to see what she/he was truly saying. To her/him, I say "Bravo!!, The others will catch up, eventually. In the meantime, just know that I am reading, and with that, understanding."<BR>
<BR>
To all of the writers I have mentioned, your work may seem to be passed over as seemingly unimportant by the 'regulars' here, but do not let that discourage you, there are people reading who spend their time and careers reading and publishing works by the likes of you. I encourage all of you to continue to cast in ink all the glory that is in you.

You ever write something in an emotional fit and think it's the greatest and then read it later and realize how much you don't want your name on it because you were in a self-centered ball of woe is me? I hate it when that happens.
