Yeah... the drop to 22-odd submission down from where it had stabilized at 50 kind of threw me for a loop. (And of course that's down from the "glory days of 500-- which I don't mind not seeing again :-) I don't think I'm gonna "call it a day" any time soon, but it does make me think about where I want the site to go. Mostly, I dunno, I don't want to see the place become a shell, where it gets like 3 submissions a month and I just post 'em with a "welp, here they are!"
In any case I wouldn't just shutter the site. The worst that would happen is a shift from a monthly digest to being a rolling open forum. But still, I like doing the Digest, and if it continues I'll look to tapping into FB (which might be a cure, but might not) before I did any other major changes.
