Why Ain't There More Homos In the 'Hood? (by jimmyallgrownup) 2002 Dec 02
Why Ain't There More Homos In the 'Hood? (by jimmyallgrownup) 2002 Dec 02| I wrote this rap to highlight what I think is a major problem in the entertainment industry today: glaring lack of gay representation in the hip-hop community. Roger and I just saw "Eight Mile" and, while it was an entertaining picture, the homophobia was blatant. And the same can be said for all great hip-hop films: Deep Cover, Boyz In the Hood, Juice, I Got the Hookup, etc., etc. I may be a gay white male living in semi-affluent San Diego and working for a software firm, but I still know the streets . . . |
