Well, if Guppy is back in the water, that must mean it is safe again!!!
I suppose that I should try to be around more, although the last 3 days it has been rather difficult to gimp all the way to the puter.
Thanks for missin' me, b.k... Sometimes I think out of *site* makes me out of mind! Or maybe just out of MY mind!
Dragonfleyes--- 'A Variation on the Word Sleep' really got to me this morning. Don't know wether it wasn't because my coffee hadn't kicked in yet or what, but it really stuck in my mind. Kind of like sweet blackberry juice on the favorite T,,,You did a wonderful job with the imagery too. I felt like I was so a part of that one....I don't quite know what it is yet that I love about this single one,,,but I do need to convey my utmost thanks to you for submitting...I think it was just what my young heart needed to hear. Thanx. =)
Ali--- Are you like looking through my windows? How in the world you post stuff on here that is somehow related (even if in some weird way) to the way that I feel on the inside.
And God, if I'm not still stuck on 'It's Only Silence',,,,
The total wave of that one still has me knocked off my feet and wading in the shallows. It's great,,I wouldn't even hesitate to call it fantastic.

Zero#1 - ummm...you're right! you're coffee must not have kicked in even yet...'A Variation on the Word Sleep' is by Margaret Atwood. She's an author. A very good one. She wrote one of my favorite stories "Stone Angel". It's full of that imagery and symbolism. Check it out! (heheheee...you're so cute!)
wow. thanks everybody for the warmth. i just decided to take a break from the blender for a bit. i was both uninspired and annoyed by the bickering going on around here a few months back. not how i like to relax. i'm still fairly uninspired to write much, but i'd best pump a few out here and there before i forget how to write altogether.

B.K. -- Are your ants indoors or outdoors? If they're indoors, you can try green sage -- just scatter the leaves around in the area where you find the ants. If you can get them where you are, you could also try what we in the Midwest used to call hedge apples -- they're actually the fruit of a tree, their real name is osage orange. They're about the size of big oranges, wrinkly, look sort of like a brain. I know they work on crickets but I'm not sure about ants. Let me know if you have any success!

BK ~ A lady from TN told me once to scatter dry eggshells to prevent ants. Never tried it but we have them bad in CA too. Rain brings them in during winter especially.
