Du'Doll,
I've never been married or engaged or anything like that, however, I know that when I do I won't ever have to question the feelings. I've come to find true love is loving like you've never been hurt. Hope that helps.
HMS! How goes life?

I’m not sure there’s an answer. Or the answer is you can’t be sure. I remember my last marriage, telling everyone who would listen “you’ll know when it’s right, you’ll have NO doubt about it” Just like me! I was certain. Positive. Soulmates. Was I wrong? You could stay tuned to find out. But hopefully, not for as many years as I did. In retrospect, most of the relationship was a testamonial to Oxymorons. And I married Oxy (just call me Mrs. Moron). Today? I’m with Oscar. [see HMS above] Go with your gut (heart). And then your head. Or your head and then your heart. Just be sure to give heart and instinct equal time. And pay attention to little things that might irritate you now. Because those things only get worse, trust this. And much of what you fall in love with becomes the very thing that drives you mad in the end. Thank God for second chances, and best of luck with your first. May you never need to be thankful for the second, or the third, or the...

Du Doll,

I figured love was already there considering if you are actually gonna marry somebody you already have made that clear that you love them. You know as well as I do, that God sustains marriages and restores them. So though marriage is based around love... Who is Love? Is it not God? So who better than he to know that if this is the right person or not. Love, the way the world views it, you know for yourself does not last, only love the God gives. The love I have for you as my dear friend will last until eternity, because I know God has given it to me. So my answer remains, pray, seek God, and follow his guidance. My prayers are with you.
The poem you submitted called "comes the dawn" is, as near as I can tell, actually called "After a While," and is by Veronica A. Schoffstall. I checked this out a few months ago, because I liked the poem so much I was curious. And actually, I just did a search now on her name, and found what appears to be her actual web site at http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/8184/

Click on the link for "After a While" and see what she has to say about it... In fact I love the other poems she has posted there as well...
Thanks for the submission...
Dubal ~ I was just reading your comment to Du'Doll and a question arose in my mind...

You said, "Love, the way the world views it, you know for yourself does not last, only love the God gives." Should I read this to understand that the love between a man and woman is finite, and relatively trivial in the sense of eternity? And then read your other statement, "The love I have for you as my dear friend will last until eternity, because I know God has given it to me." and understand you to be saying that your 'love' as a friend is infinite and more valid in God's eyes?

I'm really curious and not trying to be hostile in any way.

Another question(s) I have, that also is not hostile, but IS intended to make a point...Why are you still submitting poems that are off topic? Are you waiting for Kirk to delete them, or are you so caught up in what you THINK God wants you to do (ie: preach in inappropriate places) that you will go so far as to actually alienate God (and the idea of Him) among groups of people, or are you just trying to piss people off and alienate yourself via God?

Just wondering...
TJ,

In answer to your question, the "love for my friend that will last an eternity" was given by God, and since God is the past, present, and future cause he has always existed, therefore my love is infinite only cause God gave it to me and that it is not of myself but a gift of God. (like salvation). The love God has for man is greater than any man for a women. We cannot comprehend it. The love of this world will perish because it is not pure love. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) explains Godly love. Only God's children can know true love, cause only they know God. As for making people mad about my poems... I'm here to write poetry from my heart, and these are my intimate feelings for God. Yes they are off topic I admit, but I want to post my poetry so that others will read it, and see the hope and joy that I have in Christ. For I'm not out for personal glory, but for the glory of Christ my savior, and to point in his direction so that others may come to know Him. I'm not driving people away from christianity, it is their choice to follow, or not. When they stand before the judgement throne of God, the punishment won't be thrown on me for their unbelief, but theirs. The Bible speaks about this read it sometime, a lot of truth is in there.
God Bless
