Contrast some of your hauntingly beautiful submissions, such as Answer/Answer 2 against yesterday's humourous Groundhog Day, then throw in the radical comments you make on the board, and especially on the last survey question.

Heya folks. I just wanted to make a little note of something. In my piece "Sweat" 40 degrees is in celsius and very hot. (Maybe something over 100 F). *shrug* I'm from Canada. ;)

Dichotomy??.... Enigma??... Such heady praise from so many worthy fellow (fellowessess) poets!! To be truthfull, if something touches me I tend to look past the obvious to the slightly 'off', provided it still carries a meaning, e.g. my offering today, if you listen to this song long enough, you will see what I mean.However, where the truth of love is concerned, I perhaps wear my heart on my sleeve, and speak directly from within, and having read many 'olde' english poets, this is where I draw my inspiration from.Oh to have lived in a time when women's lib and political correctness were nowhere to be seen!!... When a lady's honour was a matter of life or death!!!....When what ever you did in the name of love actually MEANT something!!! Antway, I digress, thank you for your kind words, especially Just THE Girl, they mean a lot.

No, I would never mind a bump. You offer a very sweet sentiment that I did not see (or express) in my initial thought. Have you seen the movie? You must if you haven't. After reading Le Temps from JustSomeGirl, then moving up the ladder to your post, I found the tone in all three (yours, hers and mine) very similar.
Maybe I am just hoping to liken myself to you both ...

What an interesting point you make about the connection amongst the three submissions. Love is a strange bedfellow! Especially when one is not permitted constancy with the object l'amour...
While I love Asian film, for the simplicity and beauty in portraying human-ness, I found this one poignant and sad.
Watch Vertical Ray of the Sun.
It's an old one but "Red Lantern" is one of my favorites for Asian flicks if you haven't seen it, but get out the tissues it's sad too. Oh yes, but for fun try "Tampopo," it's great.
