BK~ Thank you too! As for what's up with me: I haven't been able to spend much time with the blender lately, since I've been drowning past sorrows in a series of meaningless but physically-satisfying relationships. Well, that and doing musicals (three concert productions in four months). But in the last month or so, I've pulled a lot of things together: started a fabulous figure sculpture class (live model, working in clay), and belly dancing lessons! I figured, I've got the "equipment", I might as well use it. ;-) And I've also met the most fascinating, well-rounded, brilliant man who I'm quite taken with. I have no idea if it's going anywhere significant, but I am reveling in him right now! Oh, and did I mention he's incredibly sexy as well? I guess that was implied. . .It's funny, I haven't written about him yet, because I'm afraid of "jinxing" it. Every man I've written about seems to fuel that lust-love-anguish cycle of inspiration.
I feel kind of badly that I haven't kept up with everyone's lives here. I guess I'll have to read the comment archives to catch up!
Oh, and Gala: per your recent birthday: come to my arms, fellow Libran! My bday is on the 21st, as I tenuously grasp my final fingerhold in the "mid"-30s. For all the bemoaning of lost youth, I've never felt stronger, happier, sexier, and more complete in myself that I do today. And I'm certainly getting a lot more male attention with the confidence and sensuality that this age has brought me than I ever noticed in my 20s.
Wistful; Sounds just wonderful to me woman. Keep it up. I took belly dancing lessons too and laughed my way through them. The teacher had a very southern accent and when she would talk to us I would just howl with laughter hearing her talk. Needless to say I got a bad grade in conduct ha

I seem to recall a chardonnay called San Sebastian from Cali,maybe not got the exact name been maybe 3 years since I was able to find it here in UK, had a nice buttery taste as I recall YUM YUM lol
Wolfscreamer ~ I think the San Sebastian is a wine from Florida but I've never had it. Some of the wineries here on the central coast are: Sanford, Firestone, Meridian, Latietia, Zaca Mesa, Cambria, Gainey, Buttonwood...the list goes on. Would be interested to hear what wines you like from anywhere since it was just Friday night, you know :-)

Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite a while. They did some research and found that a lady once lived in the house who lost her husband during the civil war. Legend says that she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came. So, they say she still waits. They caught this photo of what they claim to be her.
This one was wild and a little spooky once you find the ghost in the picture. It took me a few seconds to find it, but when you do it just stands out. Like one of those optical illusions. You put your nose up to the image and back off just a little without focusing your eyes. To save you some time, concentrate around the table. Best not to focus too much on one spot. Click on the link below for the picture. Best to enlarge. For an added touch turn up the volume, it's faint but you can hear the ghost talking, sometimes in a low murmur.

Guys, they did it to me at work. No lie...I screamed and then actually CRIED! I NEVER CRY!!! (ok, so it was two tears, one from each eye, but STILL!!) And my 9 year old daughter saw the ghost last night. She cried so hard I had to hold her for 10 minutes. BAD mommy!
