Star of David - lol. The song was stuck in my head after I read your title... an old fave from when I used to go clubbing (not counting the years).
misunderstood; The title of your last work was enough to scream PLEASSSSSE Look AT ME! Enough said, I didn't even read it it ticked me off right there. This is not poor pitiful begville. This place is a class act, there's a whole dictionary of words for titles and creativity is one of them. And yes I am a big marshmallow sweetheart but I am sick to death of the crap going on here. So forgive me in advance and get with the program...hahahahah
bk...I still don't think you understand. That work was ment to spoof on Carol and all the others who are using the cite to blatantly cry for attention. IF you look back on some of Carol's notes about her work, she actually says "If u don't like me, don't read it" I think like you do...they need to leave, or learn how to write like grown-ups.

Please..give me a break!!

I must admit I didn't read it as I never read that stuff. It looked like another one of them trying to jerk my chain which is exactly where I was coming from ha. We've all tried to be patient with them but enough was enough. I am sorry, please forgive me if that's the case.

blue~ yes, "general knowledge" is important. The earth spinning in blue and green is important, so is the happiness of the people on this earth. They are the ones who go rebuild, reclaim, rehab the animals and land after devastating natural disasters. They do it out of love for the land, animals, earth, each other. It is a shame to see any damage done by those who could be healers. I see how you care. Sometimes a healing verse or lyrics helps those who don't understand mechanics or physics, blue. When we can find the muse hidden in the devastation, verse seems to work well for both right and left brained folks: http://www.letssingit.com/?http://www.letssingit.com/lyrics/m/midler-bette/8.html ... So how are you doing, blue? Haven't seen you posting as much in the new subs now ..... Rennie

You know. I come to this place, to write a little bit about what is in my heart and to read this board to look at what everyone writes about each others work. The support that we have given each other in the past, the kudo's for great work have always lifted my spirits... I mean, isn't this place supposed to be about the love?

Well, I haven't felt the love here... in fact it does remind me of the petty high school crap that I had hoped to leave far behind two years ago. People need to quit getting on each other's cases about the stupidest shit. We are adults... even the teenagers who haven't yet grown up. If they are writing about grown up feelings and grown up circumstances, they too are grown up. I think we need to return this LOVE blender board back into a blender of love.... and stop the petty bickering. If we wanted bickering I'm sure we could find it elsewhere.

BTW Jon~ your latest one, slice of life was utterly sweet. Thank you for sharing such an intimate moment with the rest of us.

I agree. This is the Blender of LOVE, not of dissention, backbiting, and ridicule. My past Board deconstructions were always done out of a sense of reverence and respect. Or they derived from one mind-altering substance or another - in which case I wasn't responsible for my actions anyway so the point is moot. My free and admittedly entirely unsolicited advice to this community is simply to LIGHTEN UP. Don't play Poetry Police. Don't slam people because they're still in high school and are not sophisticates. Reminds me of the time I ran into Bukowski walking out of a Paris whorehouse (not the time he puked on me - the OTHER time). I don't remember the entire conversation, but I do recall asking him his take on Derrida or Barthes or semiotic signifers or some such lit crit flavor-of-the-month. He said it was all irrelevant to him. "I write for the people who DON'T read books," he said. Granted, he reeked of absinthe and powdered doughnuts, his clothes looked like they hadn't been changed in two weeks, but I think I caught him in a fairly lucid moment. And the point remains a good one: what are we trying to prove when we put pen to paper (or the cyber equivalent), anyway?
I appreciate your comment and wonder what you are thinking from my "history" piece???
Your compliments make my day/night!
Everyone at the Blender...
Lately, my life is chaotic so everything that brings a smile is appreciated...I like reading everyone's submits and the board is always full of controversy...It gives me more to think about than how to solve my problems or to accept changes...
