I saw them in a rare live performance at the House of Blues in L.A. last Halloween, performing a deeply romantic, operatic treatment of their album DEMONS DANCE ALONE. They were doing wildly creative short films/"music videos" way before there was ever a DEVO or MTV...their collected filmed works are part of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC (and readily available on DVD in the collection ICKY FLIX).
They ALWAYS perform in masks (i.e. giant eyeballs, skulls, shrouds, etc) and NEVER reveal their true identities.
We should ALL take a lesson from The Residents..

Oh, and what exactly about my comment ticks you off? You don't name-drop? Tell me another one. All I'm trying to say is that WE GET THE POINT: you're a gen-u-ine hillbilly polymath who knows/has met lots of famous people and us lowly Blender-folk should be honored that you deign to address us.
