DEAR GOD!

Wordley... and many others...

YOUR = possessive. Belonging to.

YOU'RE = YOU ARE. It's a contraction....

There's a difference people!

Spell-check is not enough, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. Both, to a computer, are correct.

Proof. Double check. Edit.

"your"...

and

"you are"...

...are VERY, VERY different.

Different spellings, different meanings!

PLEASE GET IT RIGHT!!!

</rant>

(The Tanqueray Cowboy apologizes for the outburst and promises to look into some anger management therapy.)
It's okay...I don't think anyone that would get their feathers ruffled is listening...it's probably better that you expressed it here than anywhere else...
I am so sorry to hear that. I'm going through the same thing. I am not nearly secure enough to make a long distance relationship work. Weekends are hell. Thanks for your kind words.

I thought you guys and gals might enjoy answering these questions from the book, "The Book of Questions". If you're bored take a gander and ponder quietly to yourself the answer, if you are incredibly bored than why not answer a few and post them here? Anyway, have fun people.

1. For a person you loved deeply, would you be willing to move to a distant country for him or her knowing there would be little chance of seeing your friends or family again?

2. Do you believe in ghosts or spirits? Would you, be willing to spend a night alone in a remote house that is supposedly haunted?

3. If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven't you told them yet?

4. If you could spend one year of your life in perfect happiness, but after doing so, not remember anything of the experience, would you do so? If no, why not?

5. You discover that your wonderful one-year old child is, because of a mixup at the hospital, not truly yours. Would you want to exchange the child to try and correct the mistake?

6. Do you think that Earth will be a better or worse place 100 years from now?

7. Would you accept 1 million dollars to leave the country and never step foot in it again?

8. Which sex do you think has it easier in our culture? Have you ever wished you were of the opposite sex?

9. You are given the power to kill a person by thinking of their death and repeating the word "good-bye" twice. People would die a natural death, and nobody would ever suspect you. Are their any situations in which you'd use this power?

10. Whom do you admire most besides yourself? In what way does that person inspire you?

11. If at birth, you could select the profession that your child would later pursue, would you do so? What profession?

12. You have the chance to meet someone with whom you can have the most satisfying love imaginable--the stuff of dreams. Sadly, you know that in six months, the person will die. Knowing the pain that would follow, would you still want to meet the person and fall in love?

13. Do you prefer being around men or women? Do your closest friends tend to be men or women?

Jon~
I am incredibly bored and taking a break from applying for cruise ship jobs. Great questions! Here are my answers:

1. For a person you loved deeply, would you be willing to move to a distant country for him or her knowing there would be little chance of seeing your friends or family again? Absolutely. My mate comes first. Top priority. Period.

2. Do you believe in ghosts or spirits? Would you, be willing to spend a night alone in a remote house that is supposedly haunted? Yes. I do believe in ghosts and spirits. I would not be willing to spend a night alone in a haunted house. I'd go crazy. Crazier than I already am.

3. If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven't you told them yet? My ex-husband that I am sorry for the last e-mail I sent him and for lying to him. I've apologized before and thanked him for everything but there are not enough words to express all the...stuff.

4. If you could spend one year of your life in perfect happiness, but after doing so, not remember anything of the experience, would you do so? If no, why not? Yes. I have a bad memory. I've had many happy moments but I can't remember them all. That doesn't mean they haven't made me who I am.

5. You discover that your wonderful one-year old child is, because of a mixup at the hospital, not truly yours. Would you want to exchange the child to try and correct the mistake? Yes. That's fucked up. I placed my newborn daughter for adoption...actually handed her to the parents I chose for her in my fifth month of pregnancy as I was leaving the hospital...so I know that biology isn't the only bond...of course she loves her adoptive parents as her "real" parents and will someday be curious about me but that's it...but if the hospital screwed up I would sue them and want my biological child, no matter how much I loved the child they gave me by mistake.

6. Do you think that Earth will be a better or worse place 100 years from now? Worse. Progress/technology/corporate greed/diminishing wilderness...it's gonna be extremely fucked up and I'm glad I'll be gone by then.

7. Would you accept 1 million dollars to leave the country and never step foot in it again? Hell, yeah. I don't consider myself an American. I'm a citizen of the world, a resident of America by the accident of birth alone.

8. Which sex do you think has it easier in our culture? Have you ever wished you were of the opposite sex? Men. Duh. Yeah, I've often wished for a penis. It's just handier. Easier orgasm, for one thing. Less shit to prove. We definitely cater to men in this society. Hooter's, anyone?

9. You are given the power to kill a person by thinking of their death and repeating the word "good-bye" twice. People would die a natural death, and nobody would ever suspect you. Are their any situations in which you'd use this power? Absolutely not. Not even on George Bush the Second. The guy has a family. I'm sure they love him.

10. Whom do you admire most besides yourself? In what way does that person inspire you? My ex-boyfriend. He has lived on the streets and been through all kinds of hell, yet he maintains a positive, life-affirming attitude and he creates and works his ass off everyday. He has energy and charisma to spare. I'm humbled by the guy.

11. If at birth, you could select the profession that your child would later pursue, would you do so? What profession?
I would not. I'm anti-molding-progeny-to-fulfill-parents'-latent-ambitions.
12. You have the chance to meet someone with whom you can have the most satisfying love imaginable--the stuff of dreams. Sadly, you know that in six months, the person will die. Knowing the pain that would follow, would you still want to meet the person and fall in love? Yes. Because that kind of love makes you a better person. We should all have that. The world would be a lot merrier.

13. Do you prefer being around men or women? Do your closest friends tend to be men or women? Men. My closest friends have always been men. There are a lot of women in my family...I'm very close to my mom and sister and kind of close to one of my female cousins. But I have more fun with men and I have a very special bond with my brother, maybe because we're both Aquarian loners. I wish I could be friends with all my exes. I'd be much happier if that were the case.
