When we were first married, my husband went away on business right before Christmas. He'd once told me that when he was a child, his mother used to decorate their Christmas tree with blue lights and silver garland, and and it seemed to be a very fond memory for him. I went and bought a small live tree and put it in our bedroom. (It was a struggle for me to get it in the stand as I am usually helpless when it comes to these things). I decorated it with blue lights and sliver garland and wrote a romantic poem and stuck in the tree. When he came home from his trip,I was asleep and those were the only lights on in the house. He says he'll never forget it.

I sent Chris my Love is Now book before we met. That book was my Bible. I would light candles and drink and read that book and just cry my eyes out, thinking,"Love will always be then for me."
