The Blender Survey Question

Do you write for your spouse/lover/S. O., and do they enjoy what you write for them?
TJ Holland I don't have a spouse/lover/SO per se. I write for various people, some of them I have a romantic interest in, others are friends, and I have been known to write one or two for people I have yet to meet. I have found that people are exceptionally touched when they have something written for them.
hollymccormick I find that I usually write more when I am in love than at any toher times in my life. So yes, almost everything I write is for Beau. (Not all, but most). And yes he enjoys it b/c he has no writing ability at all.
kylie Yes, I do write for him, but he's only seen a few of the pieces I've done. I am working on a larger scale project, and he does see that. Like Holly's SO, he likes it because he doesn't have that talent.
Violet Yes, I write for him often (though not always... sometimes I write about the past, or fictional things) He is my biggest inspiration. ;-) He seems to like my poetry, or else he's a really good liar. :-P
B.K. I only write for me..ha He loves my writing, encourages it and he's the reason I started writing. (He writes ten times better than I do!)
Misti I write for myself, but my husband's feedback means a lot. When we first met online we had fun writing poems for each other. I wish Chris would write more. He's the most talented writer I've ever known.
Ophelia Yes; Sometimes
HoosierDaddy Well you wrote something for ME once, do you remember that? Its okay I'm not hurt or anything, I just don't "understand". Theres a lot I do'nt understand but your at the top of the list.
Just Some Girl I used to but I'm not the same girl anymore...Now I write for myself.
jackryhme hmm well... wife is chinese, and we have spent the last 8 years learning her english, but she still cannot understand it well enough to understand what i write so... lol as if many can... ah well...
kevin urenda I used to... with decidedly mixed results. It usually did not elicit the anticipated response, which means, I think, that it was not always enjoyed...
eat u sleep u dream u I prefer to live out loud (Emile Zola). I do not know (or care) if anyone enjoys my writing, I am not in need of another person's praise or critiques. That is not what writing is about.
Anita Gangbang What a boring question...
Jon I don't really know. I think I write just to write...not sure.
TJ Holland I Need A Gang Bang ~ don't you mean, "What an Idiot question."?
HoosierDaddy I think she meant what a boring question. Come to think of it, what boring answers. Including my own.
Duke Absolutely,
There are truly few moments in a romantic relationship, whether newly established or perhaps more important, in one of maturity, which are as meaningful or cherished as when a little note left on a nightstand or dining room table, express love/desire/clever hints of anticipation to your Other. Flowers may be purchased, as items of jewelry and other expected markers of one's love, but well-chosen words addressed to your lover and her alone are significantly more rewarding.
wistful I express my love for him, TO him in every way I can: writing poems for him, singing to him, cooking, laughter and silence, et al. And he appreciates each expression, treating each one with wonder, as if we were discovering each other for the first time.
Briana Kassia I do, sort of. V doesn't really get most of the stuff I do, (sometimes working as a filidhe in the old Irish tradition can be hard... obscurity dogs your every step) and then V takes some of the stuff I throw together for fun all the wrong way : thought Fire and Ice was *directed* at her... sigh...

But she is my muse, and similar to Eochaidh o hEusaidh's situation with his patron the macGuire, five centuries ago, my meagre craft is not yet up to the task of praising her. But I'm working on it.

:)

Briana Kassia

Savannah Haze Of course I write for him. Does he know? Nope, but I write for him. Sadly, the lovers in my life don't generally see what I write until AFTER we are no longer.
kirk Not much. Why write when you can talk? Or something like that; I've written more while pining away than I have when in a happy relationship
