"Healing silence" is beautiful... it reminds me of a situation I find myself in all of a sudden. I guess I'll never understand the reasons why there must be silence, though...
tj---amen to your observations of the chatroom subculture...and i emphasize sub...although, i do credit the existence of chat rooms for introducing me to a whole heap of dear distant friends, deevaa being one of them...and i might never have found the blender had dee not submitted something i wrote without asking permission first...ha
Dale Rhodes ~ I concur with Harem! THE BRIDGE is, in my opinion, the best written poem I have seen on the Blender this month!! Have you been writing for a long time, or are you just THAT great naturally??

And gup ~ I think, from what I've seen, that you are right- there could be good uses for chat rooms. Quite a few actually. But SHEESH! I was shocked at the savage and hedonistic 'behavior' I saw there. I went to a few rooms and they were all on par with the first. If that is an accurate sampling of humanity today, I'm ashamed to be human! (I'll be getting over the shock soon, methinks...mehopes)
I tried a chat room once and was completely intimidated about how to even start, so it's helpful to know I'm not missing out on anything! Do I want to know what ASL is?

TJ-I'm not sure if you answer Dubal's important question: HAVE you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior? I guess I'm just a disrespectful headed-for-Hell Episcopalian, but that phrase just cracks me up. It reminds me of the airline people telling me to collect my "personal belongings." "Oh, excuse me, miss, I believe your Lord and Personal Savior is still stowed under the seat in front of you..." Sorry, folks, but I have to believe that God and Jesus both have a sense of humor. If not, I think I'd prefer to go to Hell, anyway.

Right on, HMS...to paraphrase Edward Abbey (he was talking about some other ideological fad), born-again Christianity is a "neurosis for which we do not yet have a name."
