Tangerine/Harem – “Prisoner of Pain” = a smart one on a tough subject, if you haven’t already, I’d love to see you get this submitted to some emotional/physical abuse zines - both men’s and women’s.

Rhetoric - Territorial Pissings was fantastic! It really struck a chord with me and I can relate to it. I read it three times over straight off. Pure WOW factor! Plus it's based on a wickedy song anyway... but all I can say is WOW! WOW! WOW! Loved it. Mind if I forward it to my most recent ex? Not sure he'll fully appretiate it tho. :-)

Chris and I were talking about music that will "age well" last night. He said decades from now the Beatles may stand, jazz will definitely stand, but Nirvana won't stand. I disagree. "Territorial Pissings" is one of my favorites. And "Aneurysm" and "Drain You" and "Something in the Way" ad nauseum. Great poem, btw!!!

Thank you, thank you!! I am glad you enjoyed my latest. Of course you can send this to your favorite ex!! It really is about any man (or woman I guess) who refuses to take a bow and move on. Like dogs, they piss to mark their property. I hate that! Game players and freaks - I wonder if they rule the world sometimes!!

Misti~
I both agree with Chris AND you. I don't think Nirvana is as classis as say the Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, or even more modern artists like REM. BUT, to those in my broader generation (late 20's to early 30's), Nirvana is a classic. I am not a head-bangin goth chic, but grunge and indie rock are serious "voices" that I recognize. And yes - Nirvana did change the mainstream scene ten or so years ago- that makes them important to future music critics!!! Something in the way - oh yeah! I also love Gimme Back my Alcohol from the Bleach album! Thanks for the praise Lake Family!
Yes, Rhet, it's true. Your source is correct. I do have an arsenal of past musings that have not made it to the Blender. Many just don't seem fitting for the climate here.
