I don't know how many Hip-Hoppers their out there but for those of you that are you know I speak the truth when I tell you how great a lyricists Nas is. No matter who you are you've heard of Tupac Shakur or the Notoriuos B.I.G., well, the same way that they brought you into their world through their music so does Nas. He's been an underground lyrical assasin on the streets of the NYC since the late 80's. Realeasing mixed tape after mixed tape of the greatest freestyle flows that most just stand back in awe of. His 1st mainstream hit was "If I ruled the world" probably the one song that put him into mainstream consciousness. I've submitted a few of his pieces that have been slimmed down. If you intersted in seeing the world through truly enlightend eyes, then you might want to take a look at his lyrics after all, music isn't anything but poetry set to music and this man is one of my favorite poets and muscians so check it out.

I am a big fan of both B.I.G. and Tupac. I have heard some NAS and like what I hear. However, One Mic, specifically isn't about romance. That may be why you haven't gotten many comments on the NAS posts. Lots of us post song lyrics - but generally that have a common theme of romance and/or love. Just an FYI. What I would like to see is some of your words about those topics in the style of your favorite artists. I think those that enjoy Hip Hop/Rap would appreciate it.

Thanks for the comments, any type of feeback is greatly appreiciated. The reason that I submitted those lyrics by Nas is because they can be taken in many ways. Maybe he has a serious love for the things that he sees. Maybe he has a love for a dream that he sees and that love will keep him speaking about that dream. Love is one of the few emotions that can interpeted many ways. I have a love for speed and driving really fast. I have a love for taking peoples pride and leaving any dreams they may of had for beating me and crushing them. I also have an intense love to just be loved that drives me everyday....see what I mean
