That film dispelled a few myths that I myself touted as the "real" reason behind our crime and violence rates. I was amazed to find out how far I leaned to the right! For a 28 year old who finally changed party affiliation a few months ago after 10 years of GOP support, I am comforted by the understanding that the answers aren't clear. I was determined to accept an answer just to make an attempt to figure it all out in my head. One significant (amongst the many other thoughts I have about the film) point that Moore made me realize is that we can learn so much about our own culture from other cultures - rather than analyze obssessively from the inside.

See Kirk? I post some pretty damn good stuff - and some of it's even semi-romance-related! However, a good deal of what I say shouldn't necessarily be taken seriously, hence my (apparently) contradictory comments on Michael Moore. Hope this clears things up.

I wonder day by day if he's really insane.
He talks a lot of politics and war.
But since this is a Romantic Realm,
I wonder "what for"? It seems he's
intelligent for a minute or more.
But that assumption goes out the
door, when he screams out ignorance
with a big loud roar.
How much more drivel can the
Love Blender take, before it becomes
something less than great. I hate
to see talent obscured with stuff so
silly. When I read some of his
submissions, I begin to feel dizzy.
He seems to want attention; to be
in the spotlight. Which makes me
think he's a lonely man when he
goes to sleep at night.
This is my first and last poem for Sushi.
I hope it didn't sound to flimsy.
I'll end this little ditty with something witty.
