My Dear Elocution,

May I say that I was completely floored when I received your kind words on 21 Feb. I was very unprepared for such sweet sentiments.

Your compliment sent me off on a natural high...my spirits simply soared to the heavens and danced in the clouds. My feet have yet to touch the ground...pure elation!

I therefore return the heartfelt compliment to you, as you certainly are gifted when it comes to expressing poetic thought, feeling, and emotion.

Do keep up your good work as I certainly look forward to reading more!

Once again, my sincere thanks.
Kind Regards, Richard
dragonfleyes~ Phoenix could be new or very ancient, so I enjoyed very much. Sanctuary has a flavor I really enjoy in familiarity and progress to understanding and peace. Thanks for sharing those two right now. I always enjoy one of your works. Both really said something to me, let my mind roam ..... Rennie

Crystal ~ I have liked a lot of your submissions. I may have even commented on one or two in the past. Today I wanted to comment on "My Damned Luck". I liked the basic premise of the poem. Especially the part about dropping your heart on the floor. That was cool. But I found much of the content of this one very crude and offensive. Admitedly, the NATURE of the rendezvous between the two people in the poem was, in itself, crude and instinctual, so it 'fits' in a way. But for my tastes, it was a little too graphic. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
I first would like to apologize if I offended anyone.
**T.J.** I read alot of work here that I don't like but instead of criticizing, I tend to keep my mouth shut. I NEVER get in any argument on this board at all. But there is one thing I can say to those that think my work is distasteful~~ After the first few lines you know where this is going- so if you don't like it- don't read any further.~~

**B. K.** Thanks! :)

Crystal>

Your writing, like all works by the authors represented here, has its own unique texture and perspective. Even for the barnyard cinematography that My Damned Luck contained, it represented the more carnal level of attraction, which is one of the basic tenets of romantic love, though probably not the most glamourous component of it. To each their own opinion, but I found your latest work engaging for the brutal honesty of its aim and subject matter. For what it is worth, of course.

Chances> You do me too much credit. Thank you for the props. I've had a chance to read a few of your own works here and I find them stunning in scope and insight.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow, each and every one of you.

Blessings.
Crystal ~ I accept your apology for offending me. Or was your apology only for those who were offended but didn't say anything? (LOL!!) And most times I do just ignore the writing I don't like. This wasn't a dislike for your work, per se...it was about being offended by it.

I KNEW when I posted my comment that it would be like this. So I was prepared.

If you go back and read my comment you will see that it isn't a personal attack on YOU. It is simply my observations about your work. And it wasn't even MEAN. Nor was it intended to be.

Seems that anything other than KUDOS is taken as nastiness here. I guess that the family of artists I grew up in were weird....see, we were allowed...no, we were EXPECTED...to say what we really thought of each other's work. No one was offended by opinions. We were all very secure in ourselves I guess. Apparently when you post YOUR work to a public forum, you want only praise for it. My bad. I assumed you expected feedback and wanted real opinions.

Again, if you read my comment, you will see that I pointed out a LOT of what I liked about it. Though admittedly, it may get a better reception in Penthouse Forum.

And that is all I have to say about that.

Peace.
