T.J.~ I am left with much to say about your comments. I quote "the NATURE of the rendezvous between the two people in the poem was, in itself, crude and instinctual" Well, how am I supposed to not take that personal when I am one of the two. I am not going to make this into any debate.
I don't mind people criticizing my work, what I mind is the censure of my ability make a decision to post it. By the way, there are a few reasons I post my work, so others, that may be going through something similar, can see they are not alone, and so that I may unleash my feelings, I do not write and post "to a public forum wanting only praise for it." Often I come to this board and people have taken something out of context in which starts this huge, dramatic, argument. I admit that you have offended me, not my work – that is all- Subject is dropped.

I thought it was graphic too, but written well enough to read to the end. Thanks, you're not alone either. I've sought comfort where it could be found. It doesn't work as well as I want it to though.

By the way, Congrats on being Irish! I'm about 60% Irish, 20% German, and 20% Swedish. I am, however, most proud of my Irish ancestery! My family is from Dallas, Texas, but I grew up in Mississippi. I now live in North Carolina. It's a great place to live as we have the ocean, mountains, and lots of great attractions to visit and take advantage of. However, I am most fond of New England and have an a complete love for Maine (Cape Neddick and York, Maine), where I previously lived.

Sounds like you have traveled many a mile and lived in some great places...My favorite uncle (world traveler) lives in Maine and he wouldn't live any place else...May it have been your occupation that led you to these places?
I was born and now live in Shreveport, Louisiana...I have lived a couple of other places, but they were more south than Shreveport...I have traveled out of the USA a few times, but haven't seen as much of the US as I plan to visit...
My loveblender name was an impulsive silly decision...There is a country singing group called the Mavericks and they have a song called "What A Crying Shame"...I had a best friend and we used to listen, singalong, and laugh at the song together...Also, I was born in 1958...so that's where I picked 58...There's a little more to this story, but the board may not want to read the details...

Ok...not a love related rant...but I GOTTA VENT.
A few weeks back, some very weird chick from a poetry chat decided I was making eyes at her guy. (EYES? OK...weird, but hey...) She has made a point of Im'ing me when she thinks "HE" might be talking to me.
This week, she came up with a LULU...she im'd me because she says the fairy I use at the Respite "belonged to a friend" and was being used "without permission".
COUGH.
My icon came from a public image bank online---and I have seen several of them in my postings. I don't OWN it...but neither does anyone else?
Anyway, today I was speaking to her "babe", and asked him why this ozone cookie was doing this. He told me she said I had STOLEN HER ART...not a friend. Ok. is she an artist? She draws a lot? No...not that he ever noticed.
A few weeks ago, after I did a reading, she sweetly suggested that she had a heard a VERY VERY VERY similar poem...just the night before...but NOT by me. Nice.
Now Blender Buds, I am NOT the hottest poetic talent in the world...but I write a LOT. I think any of the old timers can attest that I have written her for a VERY long time---and my poetry is my own?
And Babydoll...in case you decided to tail me here, My name is NOT JONI, whoever the heck that is. Perhaps instead of popping into my world, you might consider GETTING A LIFE?
As for me, I have had enough of net nuts, loonies, and assorted oddballs.

Teej: Just LIGHTEN UP, girl! I'll tell you what, BAD poetry offends my sensibilities, but I leave comments about it off the Board. And Crystal, you don't owe an apology to anyone. Unless you were writing untruths about someone's MOM or some such thing, apologies are hardly called for. Art offends, and honest art REALLY offends. I wouldn't call it a great work, but it's always refreshing to read something different.
