Ladyinwaiting ~ Please don't worry. I am sure you are not the person to whom I am posting my disgust. I was feeling as sick as a dog last night. That's why I had to vent my anger. The person whom I loved truly has no heart. No shame either. I guess you have a big one. So don't worry about my anger. I am still hangin in here.<BR>

CryingShame~ Happy Anniversary. May you always have communication and the love that it will bring. May you translate these memories into a rich life of working as a team to bring life with love together no matter the odds. Your experiences have prepared you for anything from without as the two of you have managed the tough parts within your own mets and bounds. My best to you ..... Rennie

B.K. -- it is an interesting question. I'd guess everyone has their own approach that works. For me, the initial cut at a piece usually has a lot more words than I need and they're much less precise than I want -- sort of "writing around" the idea, the old scattershot approach. So I jot it down, save it, let it "ripen" for a while. I go back to it and tinker with it a few times over the next few days (sometimes weeks or months!). When I feel like it truly says what I wanted it to say -- I usually feel a kind of mental click or moment of recognition -- then I stamp it "done."<BR>
<BR>
I'd be curious to hear other answers to this. Jon? Madison? Gala? kevin? Tanq? Any takes?

Echolocation~ I do much the same ... get an idea, jot it down, work on it then, later, when the mood strikes. Keeps me from ever having writer's block with the notes and lines ready for a tweaking. Then there are the times that something hits and won't go away until I post it as it flows ..... Rennie

Echolocation and BK~I am still so new at this and still learning...however have been writing in personal journals for years (7 year collection)...I wish I had the answer...I find writing as it comes works best for me (but that does not mean it actually makes sense to anyone else!!!)...however, I often just write and keep it for a while...although seems the best comes withing minutes as I place the feelings on the table...would love tips...you both write beautifully...<BR>

Dana~welcome aboard...Not my Intentions...I loved it...<BR>

Interesting ideas,<BR>
<BR>
I'm sure it's obvious I spend little time going back and 'refining'. A writer I respect a lot told me that if you don't cut yourself open and bleed on the page, you haven't given it your all. I'm not sure if I buy into that, but I find that when there's an idea and a feeling the words just come.<BR>
<BR>
I have found a real joy in the rhythm of limerick though. Seems they just flow right out. I had fun with those.<BR>
<BR>
I am honored to be in the company of writers such as you. Thanks for having me,<BR>

Jim~ If you will read the bios of many poets and writes, you will see that many "grew" in groups. It is rare for a writer to spring into the limelight without first having the support of a special group or groups who helped that writer hone his work, or nurtured him with kind or tough love. Ever aware of the bottom-line, publishers rarely or never take a chance on a writer without some acknowledged support or fan base. It is a treat to see anyone care to share and give a new twist to an idea. So many other areas in our lives come with a slant and some hype, but love usually cuts to the core with a passion we can all understand if the heart and brain are still functioning. Only an opinion here, we all have them, but we are good at sharing on this site and that is the magic and reality of it ..... Rennie

Rennie,<BR>
Thanks for the wishes you sent my way...Our anniversary will be Monday, March 10th...I hope you read my latest submission that gives many but not all the wonderful times we have spent together...I believe there's good and bad in everything...We are still learning and growing...I am hoping that now we can solve our problems instead of just survive them...I hope that life is treating you kind...<BR>

I thought I could answer that in a sentence or two until I tried, Echolation, and now I don’t think I could answer in less than 500 words, if even that. More than anyone would want to see on this board, that’s for sure. Maybe I should email – or edit to that sentence or two in the morning. <BR>
<BR>
I've much enjoyed the tone, the depth and diversity of your writing.

CryingShame~ Thanks. I'd like to say it is, but life's a continuous process, sometimes eternal, sometimes infernal. I take delight in the happiness of others as I work to find my own. Remember how hard it seemed just to get him to pay you attention when really young (or so you thought)? And, how that seemed to happen once again after real time together. Life is so much give and take and pain, that real happiness is cause for great celebration. A key to long term happiness seems to be in selective memory when dealing with reality. Rejoice in the positives. There are too many out there who will drag out the negatives for sport or competition if ya let 'em. Much happiness to you again ..... Rennie

jim~ If you haven't found it, here's a favorite early work Kirk put on Blender: <a href="http://www.loveblender.com/poetry/one-art.poem.html">http://www.loveblender.com/poetry/one-art.poem.html</a> ... we get so caught up in losing and loss that it is sometimes hard to believe when we have finally won. Therefore, we often wreck new relationships unless we really consider what could be lost; or, with kind understanding, what each has already lost. Thanks ..... Rennie

Star of David & Dana~Thank you, it was a poem that was sort of born on the spot.<BR>
<BR>
BK and Echo~I write when it comes to me. During the course of the day I may think up a few lines to a nameless poem and then mentally save them for later use. I usually begin the poem with those first few lines and either work around them or find something better to use. I have a mental picture of where I'm headed with the poem, but I'm writing on the spot. I have never spent more than a day writting anything I have submitted to the Loveblender. As for my own personal collection, well, I go back every now and then and revise and edit as I see fit. After all, I'm not the most impulsive typist in the world.<BR>
<BR>
Take care<BR>
