Kase - You don't need to ask to do that (though there are parts that embarass me in there!). : )

Echolocation~ on your question: I remember a time where people would get out of sorts over "newfangled" words in newspaper headlines. Journalism classes hammered the need to change with the times. I like looking back and moving forward, so new things don't bother me. zero love's abbrevated lines were good for me. They reminded me of the "scribblings" we used to have to clean up in library books, but would often read and save like autographs in high school year books = "tststsa" et cetera (etc.). Then I went into a very technical world where I was supposed to know other abbreviations and concepts or exact meanings behind them. CB, sideband, flying, military all gave even more abbreviated terms to learn. These speak to someone when used. However, not all we write speaks to everyone all the time. I went from journalism, art to speech and theatre, psychology, communication to computers, and then on out into very highly technical hands-on stuff. One reaches a point of desiring the very simple once again rather than be out there alone as associates pass on. We need only read those emoticons with the eyes and hearts of those who wrote them. The rest is just personal preference ..... Rennie

Carol- Thanks, But I doubt I'll take you up on your offer. I think everyone took it hard..Even if they werent very close to him. To see someone everyday and learn and live with him...Then for him to be snatched out of our lives..Its shocking..and tragic. I hope your ok during all of this..
Hey, thanks Rennie. I'm a hoot! I needed that.

I'll try to get around to actually posting something when I can get my cranky arse back in a writing mood. It's all quite a bit maudlin just now, so you'll all have to bear with me.

Pam: I did have a great time. It's sad when the last place you want to go is home. Jersey will always be my home.

C'mon!! Yall are going to make me cry with "Baby Book" and "My Kids". Okay, I admit I had to grab a tissue... Dana, I know the feeling... I have a 10 page letter I wrote while in labor and right afterwards... I continue to write another letter on my son's birthday every year...at this rate, he'll have a biography of his life by the time he reaches college!
