Need I remind you again Sush that poor Mr Miller was bought with Republican monies (sigh) brought to you by the same Ad agency that represents Mickey D. (He's run out of other places to work cause he's so lame so now all he has left is to represent the worst leader this country has ever seen in history bar NONE. Well maybe William Henry Harrison but at least he and his vice pres didn't try to take Cuba for cigars. Poor Dennis I feel sorry for him if this is all he has left.
Mr. Miller's only telling it like it is. It's too bad so many liberals can't grasp that concept. I guess they're just upset that we won the war.

co-dependent sushi~ yes, you and madame (or buzzard) politics. The trouble with most "concepts" like those in politics is that they want to come into your home, into your bed and dictate every move ... ewwwwwww, like some B rated movie, or less. After they've messed with your head and screwed you or over, they want to make you pay for it. Get real! Politicians, like lawyers, argue a case in court and then go to lunch together. You, dear sushi meal, then pick-up the tab. While arguments keep life interesting, many points are only good in the right context. With politics, you win a point, someone changes the rules. War means dying by real people. Do we NEED to go there HERE?? Please send Dennis Miller some roses. We know just the flower shop run by politicians; Like the Little Shop of Horrors, all their giant plant wants is for you, all of us, to feed it. Now how about talking love. Go back to that bed or romantic candlelight dinner -politician here, hummmmm? ..... Rennie

and before your blood pressure goes up, or you come unhinged by my above comments, politically insatiable sushi: The first writing I ever did was on government, used by government. I worked for lawyers and politicians, dated them, lived by and with them. Deep down I love 'em. My brother even had a political talk show here at one time, but I don't live and breathe 'em. Miller's gets paid for taking chances in saying what he will about politicians. Like being lambasted by the National Enquirer, these public figures often cannot sue or shouldn't. They don't live on their platforms, stand on them to speak, take a dive from them when they are say something unpopular. Politicians, like you, are human. Jokes are just that, and should not become national policy. In the meantime, these politicians send soldiers to WAR. These are the men who must fight for the words easily slung. It's not like we could have just had Bush and old Saddam suit-up and stick 'em in a Thunderdome to settle things. Like you say, "be nice" ... kindly don't strike a match until the oil wells are capped, so to speak ..... Rennie

Rennie, I would perhaps be more offended by your remark if I understood it. The basic gist seems to me to be politics = bad. Well, ALL art is political (yes, this includes luv poetry) - and even more so if it professes NOT to be. Dennis Miller, through his jabs at liberal orthodoxy, is merely playing the time-honored role of court jester - a role far more necessary than that assumed by scores of comfortably-ensconced Leftist academics and senile politicians - and never more needed than now.

ful/jessica... i can not even begin describing how emotional i feel after reading the above message. i am sorry that at 12 you feel such hopelessness and obvious despair. please, please, i am a mom and i have to say to you to please find an adult you can trust and speak with them immediately. you need to get help to deal with whatever is wrong in your life, an adult will be the best way to get that help. and, also, stop using such vile language, it is inappropriate for anyone at any age, but, especially at yours. your point can be made just as clearly with cleaner words.

You should find some adult you can trust and tell them what makes you feel your life is such a mess. We ALL get in a mess from time to time whether we are 12 or 112 like I feel tonight. It makes us stronger from the experience, but we know how to avoid the next trap. Please allow yourself a good cry, then go ask for help and see that people really do care about you even if it doesn't seem it is those right next to you right now. None of us are perfect, but together, we all make a pretty good bunch -- like a bouquet of flowers ..... Rennie
Sushi; But Millers bias is way beyond real as if he were really making court jester commentary he would have taken a big one at William Bennett...the eight million dollar moral man What a piece of work..ha He probably robbed all the monies to gamble with from little old ladies pension funds or their bank accounts like GB's brother did with the savings and loans. One of these days hes going to be old and the comedians are gonna remember how he sold out his country for blood money... Will the real patriots please stand up. Take a look at the article that Tim Robbins wrote on the horrible things done and said to he and wife Susan Sorandon and even their children over their anti war commentary...how dare they speak the truth.
Love poetry is political? Indefensible, please explain! If it was said in jest, fine, but was it? Examples of 'left' and 'right' love poetry would be appreciated. I am fascinated by the concept that everything I have written from my heart could be possibly considered as political! (and curious to test the comment on the poetry I have written versus my political ideologies)

sushi, B.K., Chances~ When we talk of rights and freedom of speech and civil liberties we should remember Latin. It is a dead language, and we need to remember how that happened. Philosopher/poet Santayana warns of not remembering the past and repeating it as a result. Communication in Rome went from voting to someone declaring himself mightest. He won that argument for a short time in history until a stabbing "et tu" ... being able to communicate (write, paint, create, mime, et cetera), write what you think and feel is all the more important. One is better understanding another than wishing him dead. Love is better for the individual constition (human body) than hatred. Hence our love poetry, which is controlled by the powers that be at the time, Chances, in what we are allowed to express in ANY artistic form -- we conform ..... Rennie
