This is the tattoo I will get on my lower back in the immediate future. I found this symbol at the House of Blues in Vegas. It's the Hindu symbol for OM. I bought the silver pendant to wear on a chain around my neck. I don't believe in any religions at this point in my life but I like this symbol aesthetically and I appreciate what it represents.

Misti - I looked at your 'om' and tried to appreciate its aesthetics, and was quite amused. Anyway, it's your back. Have fun.

I have actually considered getting a butterfly tattoo in the same place, but it is supposed to be a reasonably painful place to tattoo, and then the tattoo requires maintenance, stretches as you do, etc., etc. So I am happily tattooless at this point.

Thanks, Chances. I thought the "Ouch!" tattoo was a lot more amusing than the om symbol, but to each their own party.

As far as tattoos go...I have Japanese characters all the way down my spine. From the hair line at the back of my neck down to the crack of my ass. LOL!

I like the OM symbol, Misti. Always have. But be sure it means something to you or that you will ALWAYS like it....you will have it forever. As far as butterflies and roses and all that other overdone cliche sappy stuff....BARF. (sorry Chances, just my personal taste)
