Here I am catching up... I really liked the poems I ahve listed below. Sorry to the writers for bunching them all together but I have to rush and am reading the new submissions as fast as I can and can't comment on why I like each piece. But each one of these held my attention
I am quite flattered that a writer so prolific
as yourself, has taken the time to not only read my
writing; but also to comment upon it.

Thank you for your gracious words.

Elocution ~ Baby! You know that I think you are the coolest cat in all of Sunny Cal. It was awesome to just chat with you today. I miss ya, sista. Have a good weekend, you little hussie. I am glad that loves has lit your porch.

Dread Pirate ~ Oh my God. The Princess Bride is my most favorite movie; even as sappy and and corny as it is. I do hope your Buttercup feels just as touched by the sentiment as I when I read your post. On its own I really loved the punctuation and specificty of the lines (what a marvelous title). However, with the overtone of Wesley and Buttercup - it was one of the most sweet and tender gestures. I am so jealous. As you wish...
COMMA , COLON, PERIOD, QUESTION - MARK Passion Painter, What a nice reminder of the value of a well constructed sentence, conveying a straightforward idea as well as a reader interpretive message. I was first amused, then quite awed by this piece. Thanks..... Jim

God Misti...you write what I think so much of the time (pinot noir - so subtle a theme). If you lived in WV, I would have to meet you! Sadly, NM is a bit farther than I can drive in my little beat up car w/ 90,000 miles.

I hope to meet BK and Rennie...but Nashville is one of my stops. The whole idea of meeting, in person, a name on a computer screen is both frightening and kickass at the same time. To be intrigued enough by a person's words to want to engage in full-on conversation, sans the safety of Backspace, Delete, and Send, just says so much about the words to begin with.

BTW - Athena ~ Jim Croce is amazing. I love that song. recently, Operator has been swirling in my head. Wanting to talk to that voice from the past, but knowing that it just can't ever be. Ah, how wonderful Jim Croce was as a poet.

OK...out for good this time.
