Thanks for your prayers...by 6 PM today all Shreveport's shelters were full; however, we were still finding places for evacuees to stay...Even those that traveled in/with RV's, Shreveport directed them to parks where they could use restroom/shower facilities, even the truck stops are full...also Shreveport's Louisiana Fairgrounds is a shelter for evacuee's pets...Parish school buses were furnished to move passengers to shelters...hopefully there will be no loss of life after local, state, federal aid and many volunteers have worked to get everyone to a safe place...i appreciate y'alls messages...Showers up to 8 to 12 inches, high winds,tonadoes are expected here in Shreveport late tomorrow afternoon, early evening...Shreveport/NE Texas is expecting much rain the rest of the week...however, as everyone knows, South Louisiana plus other states of the gulf coast will be affected/effected is expected to get the worst from Gustav....My heart goes out to all those that will lose anything from this storm...And Hanna is soon behind--unsure of the magnitude she will possess plus where that storm will make landfall...
CryingShame58; We have a lot of evacuees here in Nashville that I am sure eager to get home and find out how much damage they suffered. Hope you all are safe and secure through these tough times. We are still praying for ya'll. Looks like it's going to be a busy hurricane season.

pam: watching the news, looks like you are getting slammed and it is about to get worse. i hope not. take care of you and stay safe. looks like dallas will be getting only a small taste, but a taste nonetheless. i'll ride it out here thinking of you and all my friends in NOLA, and how much worse it must have been. tight squeezy hugs to you.
