thank you Ali! I imagine this has been looked up around here before, but I was just wondering where "heart on your sleeve" came from. Here: ". . . Another practice with historical origins is the valentine box, popular in today's grade schools. In England, as far back as the 16th or 17th centuries, unmarried women would write their names on slips of paper and place them in a jar. The papers were then drawn by unmarried men who would treat the lady as his "valentine" for the day. In England, it was also common for wealthy men to throw fancy-dress balls to honor their ladies, and some men would wear a lady's name pinned to his sleeve; hence the origin of "wearing his heart on his sleeve." interesting, eh?

I spoke to Kirk today, and I've decided to keep posting art (only the romantic/love inspired I guess... LOL) here, but I'll not be posting poetry for awhile, some of this steams from the fact I'm not writing much at the moment and some of this steams from me wanting to concentrate on art for awhile.<BR>
