I am looking for the poem that Robin Williams read in the movie Patch Adams. It begins with "I love you without knowing why or from where..." I would like to know who the author of the poem is. I have checked the movie site, but to no avail. Any information is appreciated. You may send information to Noaishte@aol.com. Thank you.

You should learn how to take advantage of http://google.com ; it can find most anything on the web. It took me less than a minute of searching to find a "Poems of Patch Adams" page (I just put in the first line you gave inside quotemarks)...that page was gone, but Google had a cached copy of it. That site told me it was Pablo Neruda, so then I added him along with the phrase in the search, and got (for instance) http://k7k.tripod.com/poetry/a.html , which seems to be the whole of Sonnet XVII.

J-Dub-Just remembering all the old ways used to write valentines and notes when I was a kid. Remember the candy hearts that spelled things out for you, I think they still have them but the messages aren't the same. I just thought the Y poem was cute as pie, thats all.
Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it...even though it was a sad story. It was something I had been writing for the past week and kept coming back to and I could never finish it, so I still consider that version an incomplete one, but since someone liked it I guess it came out just fine. :-)
Thanks to Holly and Jon for liking my poems. I felt that Searching and Love Or Rehearsal? were appropriate for the upcoming holidaze. I hope that all the "blenderites" have a happily blissfull Valentine's day. I was so apprehensive about posting these latest poems, but am overjoyed that someone appreciated them.
