I simply LOVE your post Fear. Describing what fear tastes like at the end...very powerful. All I can say is: WOW.
Teej,
Well...It's working for a company that make hinges for van doors, Ford specifically, and they have lots of nice, shiny new machines, all fully automated, and no one to repair them when they fuck up!!( the more they overtake the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drains!!) So....this is where I come in....when they wont work I will have words with them, and persuede them otherwise and the man will pay me with lots of bright, shiny coin...and...and..we'll all live happily ever after!!

Seriously though, they'll break 'em...I'll mend 'em.It's a bit further to go than i'm used to, I'm in Leicester, they're in Coventry, about thirty miles, ajourney I make most Saturdays as Coventry still have a speedway team captained by one of your countryman, a certain Billy Hamill. I'll just have to make this journey twice a day instead of once aweek.
Mind you, I dont suppose thirty miles is much to you is it??
The title of my story "Physician in Love" is missing the (i) in physician. How can this be corrected. Thanks, Robyn :-)

I have to say thanks to Rhetoric, Jennifer and wordley for the warm welcome. I stumbled across this site by following a link from another site and spent a night reading volumes of your poetry. There are many excellent works on this page, I think it is safe to say I will read here for a long time to come.

That said, wordley, I relate very much to M'LADY!! and the connection with the car...I have a 1970 442 Convertible that I restored and believe me, many hours of aggression were worked out on that car....also congratulations on your job.

Galadrial, Air Gala---the poem previously known as Carpe Darling...wow, you sound like one hell of a woman!
Wordley ~ Excellent!!! Always a boon to do what you're good at, isn't it? Give those machines a good talking to when they refuse to do their jobs!
Strange, your happiness is actually making ME happy. And I thought I'd mention your most recent poem was very very good. I liked the way you set it all up.
Yes R.H glad to hear you found a new job. Thirty miles isn't much if you can get on an interstate and do 70 mph. But if you can't then you might be in trouble.

Spaceman; Welcome to the blender, looks like you have already caused quite a stir and both pieces Blocks and spaces are wonderful. We hope you will stay a while and write for us.
Art bids us touch and taste and hear and see the world, and shrinks from what Blake calls mathematic form, from every abstract thing, from all that is of the brain only, from all that is not a fountain jetting from the entire hopes, memories and sensations of the body.
