I am nursing a broken honker, and a shitload of embarassment.

I may be the only woman in North America who can fall on her face and break MY OWN NOSE.

DAMMIT.

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

I was in the middle of faxing some press info on my esteemed client to a Fox Affiliate when it happened. So I got up off the floor, grabbed a roll of paper towels, and kept faxing while I waited for the damned thing to stop bleeding.

Got the confirm sheet that the stuff went through---then waited for a lift to the ER.

They were very sweet there---but they thought they had a domestic violence situation. AS IF.

After the third gentle question about "How" it happened, I went off.

"Lady---if someone had DONE THIS, you'd have TWO PATIENTS---only he would need you a lot more than I do!"

and so it goes...

Gala--Ouch!! I feel a little better about not being the most graceful person in the world:)

Okay, "Immortal Transgressions" is a rusty attempt after serious writer's block. Be gentle...

Paul!! Love your Canadienne. Of course, as a Canadian I am partial to all that glorifies my country! LOL!

(And it's true...the women are better there!)

bp ~ I'll see if I can't bring back a windmill for you. Perhaps the one in Rotterdam that my asrtist sister painted the sails of a year ago? That one is famous with the locals now!
Canadienne and your other works are like my favorite songs....I can keep playing them over and over again...enjoying them as much or more as the first time...

Gala,
Sorry to hear of your accident, but somehow i bet you will find something good that will come of it...Hope you find a way to write a poem about it, because everyone would benefit from it then....take care...
Wow, Thanks! I am beside myself with glee. I was surprised at the front page pic - but even more surprised by the number of people who feel the same way about writing utensils. I am a Pilot Dr. Grip gal. I will settle for a Uni-ball Vision Micro - but prefer the fatter feeling of the Dr. Grip.
When those gel inks first came out, I was hooked. Now, however, I like the way plain old ink looks. And, I am glad to see that somebody understands that the pencil is not to be used outside of math!
thanks to all for comments lately, i have been out of pocket and just now getting caught back up.

so many great great words have been written recently; i shudder when trying not to forget anyone.... i love all new subs, so if you are not mentioned, it is not because i did not read and/or enjoy your works.

coujeaux... you are awesome! i think i am in love with you!

john branum.... what a wonderful romantic you must be, i love your stuff. i especially connected with love only in my dreams

newfoundlove... i absolutely was enthralled with piece of mind, i really hope to hear more from you, magnificent!

bk... oooooohhhh you got me with ode to his lips, sheer ectasy with vocab!

passion painter... way to capture my heart with hoover

dana... as always, you are a terrific and worth my time

gala... since i am new to this wonderful magnet i looked you up and read some very powerful stuff created by you. i sat for hours reading and re-reading. wow! hope your nose is better. just so you are not totally alone in the boat of embarassment, i recently took a tumble as well; in a room full of new people i had just met and in an equally BIG way. still have the bruises to prove to me it was not a dream i wish i could've had. although i did not break my nose, i did break myself of getting the social life with those people i had previously desired. obviously there are bigger and better things awaiting!
bp~ and thank you ... some deep reads on you.

Star of David~ Thank you!

jim~ Mea Culpa :), however, I see your real admiration of women.

jon~ glad you enjoyed the site. Hemingway cared about how he wrote so meticulously that he left an additional space between each word as he typed (from what I've read). Octavio Paz wrote that each word has weight in poetry. Poets, on the whole, are intense wordsmiths. I am glad you enjoyed the recommended site.

B.K.~ I wish I had your energy with all the loving works you write for your "darlin'"

Chances~ Eyelashes -- I especially liked this one.

Thanks Gala, Ali and ladyinwaiting on my "green" piece. As Kermit said, "It ain't easy being green" but I tried. Gala, I've had my nose broken twice in accidents. You take care. ER personnel are told to push in asking about how injuries happened. I understand it has saved some spouses/significant others far worse injuries in them reporting abuse the patient is fearful in reporting. It also gives the abused more power when finally reporting continued abuse for divorce or restraining orders, sad as that may sound.

Empy~ awwwwww, thanks on RERUNS. Hope I didn't dredge up some real sadness with that.

I hope everyone had a great and Happy St. Paddy's day.

Darrius~ "She is my one and greatest friend ..." good luck to you with her losing her "fear"

Passion_Painter~ "HOOVER" is a good way to put that.

Dana~ being strong-willed, I managed to deal with choices of others, so admire your resolve in tough choices ... and sadly, you are just the first target of opportunity in Mind Games.

Paul~ you've done it again ... your muse must be in overdrive.

Kase~ transgressions ... I wish chinooks for you in the future. Glad to see you continue to write here.

poyen~ on deaf and dead, it is a long way from pain to apathy -- take care it does not leave you unable to feel for someone new.

teej~ stay safe -- take care. We'd love to see a picture of those sails ..... Rennie

Sea Glass is mysterious and wonderful. It swells and ebbs me in an extracorporeal fashion as Shakespeare's "Tempest" does. When you speak to me in real time there's Terra Firma levelness in all you say. But when you write poetry, my dear, you reach deep and visceral truths seemingly beyond your years and ken...or mine.
Rennie Lorca: Thanks for your comment regarding tough choices and I know that I really am the first target of opportunity in Mind Games(by the way, nice way of putting it!)but, I was writing it during the moment so my frustration seeped in. I'm sure you can understand. It certainly helps to write. Thanks.
