I just finished reading everything you have submitted. Your poems keep getting better and better and I love the way you use words so beautifully. But I must say that the following verse will always be one of my favourite verses of all your poems:

Kirk- That is so funny..."You're So Cool". I have actually used those words to express "I Love You". Of course it had nothing to do with that particular movie, but more a song that was popular at that point in time. My point is that I totally agree that it is an awesome way to express love for someone, and I almost think it says a lot more. I mean we all know it is possible to love someone and hate them at the same time. You're so cool kind of takes that away, cause either you think they are or not...lol.

lady... i LOVED 'that tie', and like you, i am putty for a man in a tie as well. you are right, it does define the man. i particularly am drawn to men that are secure enough to wear ones for fun... veggie tales, cartoon characters, Christian influenced, etc. thanks for this one... it is a masterpiece!!!

this AM I smiled, when i read "That Tie"...and bless you for submitting Military Man ... we are all deeply affected by the war...I have chosen not to listen or watch the news the past few days, so I can celebrate my milestone and get a few zzzz's...I am usually a cheerful soul and find the positive....Growing up listening to the casualties, MIA's & POW's of Vietnam, I have the tendency to become melancholy by what i hear and see of this war...

Crying Shame-- Can you stand one more well-wisher? Happy Birthday to You, you live in a Zoo....LOL Best wishes one being one year younger! (and one more wiser!) Your comments on the board, (along with Rennie) give me a lot of insight and your wisdom is awe-inspiring.
Deevaa- What a wonderful talent you have with art and words! Your paintings leave me breathless, and you write too? Such a rare combination! I'm was left speechless when I checked out your site. I can't draw a straight line, so you amaze me.
Dana-- I love your referrals to your little boys in your past works. I have a 3 year old of my own and I can relate easily. The fact that you have time to write a grocery list, much less poetry, with twins is quite a feat in itself. Your work is wonderful, keep at it. Though you don't know me, kiss them babies for me, because babies can never have enough love!
Chances- I've been reading some of your past works (and the recent ones too, of course) and you have the rare ability to make me feel your words. Sometimes, just a gentle stirring, and sometimes red, raw energy.
Misti- All I can say is WOW! You deserve to be published so badly that it's a sin you not on a best seller's list. I admire you. When you get those books out in print, let me know so I can be the first in line. One day I'll be able to brag to people that I seen your work on a web site long before they figured out what good reading was! (Yes, I'm sucking up, in hopes that when you're published I might can get you to give me a personal autograph!)
Sorry for such a long rambling "comment", but I'm having a pretty good week health wise. I had an experimental laser surgery done to remove scar tissue built up in my kidney the results seem to be hopeful so far. It's not a permanent solution, but it may but me some time before anything more evasive has to be done. As corny as it sounds, those of you that believe in God, please keep me in your prayers. Thank you, because I know you all have busy lives and worries of your own to deal with.
May God keep all of you safe in the palm of His Hand....

Thanks for noticing. When I finished it had almost twice the words, so I just started shaving. I tried to leave only the idea without any extra descriptives. A little different for me, but perhaps it worked.

Kase: My boys are 18 month old twins so I really never have time for anything at all other than cleaning and errands that are necessary. I actually just finished cleaning my stove a few minutes ago and here I am at 11:00pm. I tend to just scribble down a thought to a poem as I think of it. When I have thoughts of a complete piece in my mind it usually doesn't take long for me to get it all down on paper and then I will edit when I get the chance to. As for a grocery list, I have an ongoing grocery list all week long. I add one item here and there as I think of them. It's posted right on my fridge so it's handy. Anyway, Thanks so much.

As for me telling you about myself, I am married with 18 month old twin boys and have been writing poetry for nine years but only recently heard about this site. I was really not an "internet person" until about six months ago. I have enjoyed many pieces on this site and have been inspired by many as well. Again, thank you for your comment.
